Cheap 9mm and 5.56... should I buy it?

I am looking at buying a large quantity of milsurp 9mm and 5.56 ammo from someone who is looking to clear it all out. Tens of thousands of rounds, really cheap! Headstamp on the 9mm is IVI 85, on the 5.56 it is FNM 82-1. A little research tells me the 9mm was manufactured in Canada (1985), and the 5.56 is either mexican or portuguese. Please correct me if I am wrong. I have test fired a fair bit of it and it seems fine, my major concern being is this corrosive or not? Advise is greatly appreciated!

you can expect a few duds with the ivi, but since you're getting it cheap, what do you care- generally most ivi can be expected to go bang when hit- don't know about the 223
 
One warning about the IVI 9mm, it will be HOT HOT HOT!

The IVI 9mm is spec'd for the old C1 SMG, not a pistol. It is really a +P+ 9mm (not that such a standard exists...). It will shoot just fine in any steel framed pistol such as the Browning Hi-Power. But, from what I witnessed it do to a friends Ruger P85 (eventually the thing was battered to death, may have done better with an extra heavy spring) I would not use it in an alloy framed pistol.

Thanks for the input guys. The 5.56 headstamp is FNM 82-1. Haven't got the exact price worked out with the seller yet, but it will be cheaper than it's costing me to reload.
Yup the 9mm is HOT! I cronied ten rounds (115g) around 1240-1280fps from my B&T tp-9.

Quite a few people interested in buying some of this ammo. If there is any left after I take my share and sell to a couple of freinds who are interested, I will sell the rest in the order it was spoken for.
