Cheap Ammo Quality AR

Personally I would not.
The difference between decent and junk is less than 5-7 cents/round .....worth the gamble?... not for me.
I have experienced and seen to many things go wrong with cheap ammo.

I wondering the same thing.....I just ordered and Daniel Defense and sold my nork, but I still have a cabinet full of the Nork 5.56. Can using this ammo really hurt my new rifle? Has anyone had any problems?

More like 20-25 cents a round I'd say.

The problem comes when people shoot cheap ammo through cheap guns.

if you have a chrome bore and chamber... who cares? go for it....

target barrel... maybe not.But I wouldn't be shooting Norc ammo for precision anyway :)

I shoot Norc ammo in my DD. It's not an expensive tack driver like a GAP10 or Wilson Combat or Les Baer by any means so who cares. Barrels get worn down all the time, depends on how much you shoot the thing. Most barrels will probably outlast the average wknd plinking owner regardless of what FMJ ammo they shoot.

I have no problem using junk Norinco ammo in my DD or my build AR(cost more then my DD). I have almost 10 000 rounds fire between my 2 AR and had lest then 50 FTF or FTE here and there.

I agree, I've shot a couple thousand rounds of Norinco ammo through my AR without any issues, it's even pretty accurate as well.

It's proven to be more accurate than the very expensive target shooting ammo I've fed through them actually. And my AR's are all LMT's and BCM's.

More like 25 cents per round. That is $2500 difference in 10,000 rounds. Enough to buy another 1 or 2 Ar15.

You can find bulk non Chinese .223 for $450/1000. Norc. 223 is $319/1120, so it's really more like half what you're claiming. When people are putting the ammo through $3000 black rifles, using ammo that has been shown to have issues with brass failures and erosive properties, and when people maybe put 2000-3000 rounds through a rifle on average, is it really worth it?

Way too many reports of problems with the cheap ammo for me to risk my rifles.
There was pretty much a thread every week a couple months ago about guys having issues with Norinco ammo. Some guys run through thousands of rounds without issues and others have problems. The problem is that you never know what you are going to get with it. Some is fine and some is out of spec in some way. I've even heard of some lucky guys opening a case of 5.56 and finding it full of 7.62AP.

Use whatever you want but if your trigger gets jammed up with a primer that fell out of a case or you find the bullets are keyholing because they are undersized or the barrel wears out in 6000 rounds instead of 20000 rounds or if you have a kaboom from a cartridge loaded with some random powder that got mistakenly put into a batch of Chinese surplus don't act all surprised and ask for warranty.

I've also heard very few reports of guys getting anything better than 3-4moa with the stuff, so if you just want to make some noise and ring a gong at 100 yards and don't care about your rifle that much then have at er. It is cheap and you can pretty much pay for a new barrel with the money you save after every 4-5 cases.

Sure you can find non Chinese ammo for $450 per 1000 rounds, but I also can find bulk Chinese ammo for $250 for 1120 and I did. So its really like not half of what I claim. It is based on facts.
Never had any brass failures with Chinese ammo.. Maybe you put 3000 rounds on average because your paying almost 50 cents per round.

And most people have more than one firearm in the same caliber. So having 10,000 rounds of one type of ammo not far fetched.

Same here. I use them strictly for 100 meters and less. did not have the guts to use them, for longer ranges in competitions. Not sure about the accuracy.

Several things, firstly, where are you finding Norc ammo for $250/crate? Cheapest I've seen in Canada Ammo. 2nd, that difference is still less than 25cents. Third, you didn't attempt to refute the other issues raised about the horrendous quality and track record of the Norc ammo. Four, don't make assumptions on my shooting habits.
