Cheap Ammo Quality AR

I have put cases and cases of norninco ammo through my ACR. Have I had failures? Sure. Still, I can shoot almost twice as many rounds VS other ammo for the same price. It's worth the trade-off for me. For competition, I would use Federal or maybe even Black Hills if it involved longer-distance shooting.

The comments in threads like these remind me of the great George Carlin when he said,
“Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?”

I've shot close to 4k rounds through my DD Mk18. 90% 55gr Norc CJ95, 10% Barnaul 62gr. Only one time where I had a bad round lock the gun up with the Norc ammo.

I'm not a millionaire, i work for a living, i have a fixed budget for my firearm supplies, guns, accessories and activities, and I would never ever ever shoot Norinco ammo in my colt or my Tavor, never ever.
I always shoot ae .223 because its always available, not too expensive, its what I train with, and its what I compete with.

if you have a chrome bore and chamber... who cares? go for it....

target barrel... maybe not.But I wouldn't be shooting Norc ammo for precision anyway :)

Exactly. Even the norcs come with chromed barrel. OP - check out Canam for their line of norc AR with chromed barrel.

Several things, firstly, where are you finding Norc ammo for $250/crate? Cheapest I've seen in Canada Ammo. 2nd, that difference is still less than 25cents. Third, you didn't attempt to refute the other issues raised about the horrendous quality and track record of the Norc ammo. Four, don't make assumptions on my shooting habits.

Several things, firstly, I won't tell you all my secrets.
Like what other people have said, canada ammo did a special sale and many people stacked up on cheap ammo.
Secondly, I am going off my experience on the Chinese ammo and not someone else.
Third party opinions means very little until you try it urself.
Have you even shot the Chinese ammo before?
Thirdly, let me do the math for you.
1120 Chinese ammo for $240x12% tax=$270.
That equals to 24 cents a round.
1000 rounds of non Chinese ammo for $450x12%=$500.
That is 50 cents a round.
And lastly, I will make assumptions base on the facts that I was given.

Even at the 10 pack price (10% off) and at the "normal" price, you could have gotten it at 28c a round.

There was a sale a couple months ago. 4 crates of 1120 Chinese ammo for $957 before tax.

At the end of the day, Chinese ammo will be cheaper by at least 20 cents a round and the more you shoot, the more you save.

I've put a couple thousand rounds of the norc 5.56 through my KAC and besides a bit of accuracy variance it works perfect through my rifle. I also put about 1k through my norinco AR and again no problems. I've switched over to PMC and black hills recently so whatever though

Norinco is half decent <100m ammo until you get into a batch with undersized bullets, or where they annealed the wrong ends of the cases.
Step right up, spin the wheel, everyone's a winner.
