Deer season was pretty bad, turkey season was worse, so this time i want to start early. I've had a bad habit of waiting too long to buy supplies, so for this upcoming waterfowl season i want to start shopping now.
Number 1 on the list is Canada Goose decoys, preferable the floaters, but any would be great.
Where can I get some cheap ones, If I can get 6 for $90 that would be great. Got enough duck decoys, so now i just want geese.
I live in southern Ontario, so I'll even go state side if the price is right.

Let me know
Thanks

cabelas just sent me the new flyer and they have 6 for around that price in the bargain cave, check it out , cabelas.ca of course you will have to pay for shipping.

Also keep an eye on Kijiji. Unless you only plan on waterfowling once or twice you may want to consider going with a middle of the road decoy such as BigFoot. The initial cost is marginally more but they will last a lifetime, whereas a Flambeau or Avery Hotbuy will be lucky to have any paint left after the first season.

Good decoys also comes with a large varety of head positions which helps alot. I only run a doz or so floaters, so it pays to have nice ones for me.

I have a great deer decoy if that interests you?
Geese you can buy the shells fairly cheap and there are floaters in the classified's if you look.

we are on farmland with ponds, and some frugal people. they use the corrugated plastic (like the ones you see for advertising) cut a stencil out, and paint them. They say it works, i never tried. Give it a go.

I paid US$45 for 6 goose decoy two-piece shells last time I was in Lafayette, Louisiana. I should have bought more but space was limited. I'll bring a bigger bag and try to get a dozen home next time i'm down there. The same store had a dozen floating duck decoys on sale for $US18, your choice of mallard, shoveller, or gadwall.
