I keep hearing Hornady One Shot is a good product but i'd prefer something cheaper and easier to find

hows lighter fluid? or methylhydrate ? something i can buy a big ass jug of.

I want to start giving my powder meters and parts a good cleaning before and after using

...powder sticking to parts is pissing me off

Rubbing alcohol once. Then dry graphite Lube and your good to go! No more sticking powder.

The only other good thing to have around, especially for those annoying specks of powder that end up on and under the shell plate is compressed air!

I use varsol to clean the storage gunk off new dies and leave them dry after that. I wipe down the plastic parts of my powder dispenser with a used dryer sheet to kill the static and stop powder bits from sticking.

Varsol, or any paint thinner works well to remove case lube and cast bullet lube BUT dries slowly and will deactivate primers and/or powder. Dry carefully.

Not cheap but easy to find, I've used electrical contact cleaner. In future, I'd probably go the brake cleaner route as I believe its been well tested by a lot of users like those posting here.

Naphta or brake cleaner.
Naphta is also a good way to get rid of conifer resin on your hands, your Tools and clothes...

Powder sticking to parts may have nothing to do with the lube. Static electricity will do that. Anyway, Hornady One Shot is for BP and has wax in it. If you want a big jug of a de-greaser, buy some Varsol.

Some interesting responses for a simple answer: Brake Cleans.
Use it in a well ventilated area as it is very flammable.
I must admit I'm curious as to what do you do with the drier sheets...

simple green HD and hot water.

no solvents, non smelly, works really well. and its cheap.

Works nice in an ultrasonic cleaner too.

I wipe down all the plastic bits on my powder dispenser and it kills the static charge they tend to build up, which is what makes the powder flakes jump around and stick to the plastic pieces instead of flowing smoothly.

helped a LOT with my powder charges also.

Lacquer thinner. Dissolves most any lube, evaporates fairly quickly but not as instantly as brake cleaner so you get a little more work time. Use in a ventilated area or it'll give you a pretty good buzz. Also keep away from plastic parts & gun finishes as it will eat a lot of them. Fairly cheap as well.
