I've never followed up on this, but I had a good friend tell me about getting his. He went to a pharmacy equipment distributor and picked up a very cheap digital pharmacy scale, that amongst it's other functions, the measurements could also be switched to grains. IIRC I think he said he paid just over $100 for his 2 years ago.
It's an option you may want to look at.
There have been several threads on here (all gone of course) where the cheap digital scales are not repeatable. Steve had quite a thread a while ago.
Thye would work OK for simple weighing - bullets, cases, etc. but not for powder.
Powder scales is one area one should not skimp in getting good quality product - it just takes one handloaded KABOOM! to change the rest of your life, assuming you survive.

i bought one from Ebay a while ago for about 15$ US-i think it's meant for dope dealers but it works perfectly fine for what he said.
You can speed up checking yer cast bullets too
Most of the scales on ebay claim to measure in grains, but that is somewhat misleading. Sure they display grains, but they are normally only accurate to just under 2 tenths.
I work for a scale company.
A cheap scale is a cheap scale.
A digital scale is only as good as the load cell inside of it. A display can show as many decimal points as you like, but the load cell is only capable of so many divisions.
Pact BBK, I have had mine for 2 years and have compared charges with my lyman and they are within .1 grains. Just do not switch between the scales when loading the same load. Bought my Pact from them direct 1 week and it was at my door.
