I know it's sort of blasphemy, but I found these cheap little dots and ordered one.

I'm going to try it on a Redhawk with a mount I'm getting, just to see how crappy it might be. For less than $30 you get a tiny red dot with a cover, and it turns itself on when the cover comes off and adjusts for light brightness:
If it holds up I'll get another. If it breaks who cares.

Gander Mountain in the states is selling Truglo red-dots for $25 each. They're a brand name.
