As much as I enjoy shooting my A5 for skeet, it is not a shoulder-friendly gun.

Don't let that stop you. Any competent gunsmith can bore the choke to something like Imp Cyl or a little tighter for under $50. And that would be ideal for just about all your sporting clays needs. You can get a great deal on those old 2-3/4"/fixed choke guns.
