Cheap Shotgun Shells

I went back and checked the Kent shells I had picked up. They were pristine when I picked them up, but after one reloading they were splitting much as has been said. So, I'm not going to bother anymore. The crimps also dished at the settings I use for Winchester and Remington hulls.

Kent uses Cheddite hulls. Not worth a darn as far as reloading. Best reloadable hulls these days are the Remington products... Gun Club, Priemier, Nitro 27's. I have loaded Gun Clubs 10 X.

I can arrange a full container of shells delivered to your door for as low as $5.25 including freight and taxes. Only kicker tho is the container will hold little over 6000 cases. These are "TRUST EIBAR" (Spain). Sooo If you got a spare $317,000/00 floating around then I'm your man.

here in Chatham, ontario , most prices for pretty much most trap loads are about $80 + tax/flat, but there is still one local place selling federal and remington trap loads for $62/flat...atleast till they run out anyways (they figure roughly a couple months)

That is not a bad! I think I do a bit better but I have switched to cheddite primers and I buy my the rest of my components from old trapshooters. I think I could cut the cost a bit more by reading the obituaries and paying my respects to the widows:D

I use cheddites too but they recently went up to $35/1000 from $32

I recently heard of a guy from Waterloo here in Ontario that was bringing in Challenger shells, both 1 and also 1 1/8oz 2 3/4 dram loads for I'm sure he said $65 taxes in..He might even have them by now..Regarding the Dark Blue Kent hulls, noramally I reload Gold Medals only, and the Kent hull although the odd one showed splits after a few rounds, I have loaded them at least 5 times with great crimps before I pitched them. I've had very good luck with those hulls. You guys shoot them once and ship them to me, I'll get rid of them for you.. :)

Beretta Boy, ya gotta quit smokin' weed first thing in the morning, then you'd be more aware that my comment was meant as a joke. I have no shame in being a hull whore, when there are first fired hulls laying on the ground or in the garbage. Look out, I'm going in..Last weekend at the St. Thomas Federal 3 day Shell Shoot, I brought home 7 clay target boxes Full of first fired Gold Medal hulls...I'm not afraid to pick em up..

But the Dark blue Kent hulls have been great to load. Some have split on the sides after the first reload, yet others have been reloaded probably 4-5 times, and still crimp really nice, but are getting weak and ready to be pitched..

No ganja, but did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.
Was well cognizant of your jest.

Like I said, "Right ! " (with a wink) ... Now get busy bendin' over :D

I'm a bit of an ol' hull tart myself, but now only go down for
STS's, AA's, or Fed GM's. (Yup, a picky old fart at that ;) )

I do enjoy watchin' the sideline vultures squabble over virgin Kents and Challengers,
and although I wont use them, Super Targets, Gun Clubs and Top Guns.... and even more umentionable stuff.

Are you using Federal 12SO or Claybuster's Federal clones to load the Kent's ?
If not, you may find they might work a little better for you.

Don't think of yourself as a hull whore. Consider yourself an environmentalist saving all those Winchester AA, Gold Medals and STS from the landfill. ;)
