Cheap shotgun

SFRC has Free Shipping over $150 - I just bought a Hatsan 14" MarineGuard pump (their last) for $400 + tax, plus some ammo. Should have bought more ammo - as usual ! ☹️ UPS shipped in 72 hours . w(°ｏ°)w Maybe more shopping with govt $$. ?

I would buy a traditional Side by side and load it with black powder rounds.Try a model 20b Husquavarna with external hammers from Tradex.It will hold it's value and is an antique.Better quality than what you could get for anywhere near the price.Pumps and semis will not go with your black powder guns and you will find them boring.If you like higher quality, the pre war German sxs shotguns are some of the finest precision firearms ever made.My Mossberg 500 is garbage in comparison.
 
I have a moss 500 with 3 barrels. 18.5, 24 cantilevered scoped slug barrel, and a 26 threaded choke barrels. Pretty sure I got everything covered as far as shot gun is concerned. Thst being said I'll be looking for an 870 project gun soon.

Feels good in the hands, action feels nice. Not super expensive and you can dress it up any way you please.
 
Maverick 88. I myself would find it hard to pay the almost $300 they charge now a days because I remember buying mine for $189 and they haven't made any changes. But always worked and was smooth out of the box amd made in USA.

They are still a bargain at $300.

I bought a Mossberg 500 about 10 years ago, think it was $300 or so new back then. Good gun, put a lot of rounds through it, never had a jam, beaten in duck blinds and carried many a mile.

I recently got a Maverick 88 and it's pretty much the same gun. Prefer the tang safety on the 500, but it's not really a big deal. Other than that there isn't really any difference. I don't see why people #### on the 88 but suggest the 500, they are the same thing.

Both are superior to the 870 express and Turkish guns. Only modern pump guns that beat the 88 or 500 are the Wingmaster and the BPS. Maybe the Nova, but I have never used one of those.
