Hey folks,

The 12ga slugs at wally world are about $1.30 / per slug. Is there a source for cheaper target slugs (for smooth bore), or do I have to get into reloading?

Thanks!

I bought a slug mold and am getting some one to cast them for me and am just figuring the reload of them. Haven't figured out the pricing yet, but at least 1/2 of retail.

walmart or canadian tire
winchester bulk pack 15 rds for 15$
2 3/4 1600fps
you may allso want to contact SFRC they allways seem to have the lowest prices.

The Army Navy store in Halifax sold bulk packs of these:

White one, second from the left in the picture...

Sporting Slugs 25 for $19.99

They shot straight but every other one jammed my Mossberg 590 as the extractor tore chunks right out of the case rim leaving it unextracted.

that sound like a heck of a deal...:kickInTheNuts:

I figured out my costs and reloading slugs with range hulls is $45 for 100

$5 for primers
$2 for wads
$8 for powder
$30 for slugs

if your Mossberg's dual extractors are ripping the rims off your shells, you may want to have a look at your chamber - perhaps it could do with some polishing.

Not to thread jack but I've asked for help with this before...

It's a 590 Mariner (electro nickle plated joby)

These won't extract and cheapo Winchester Skeet and Range won't extract...

Whats the issue?

Here's my way of getting cheap slug practice.

I'm /k/anadian, posting this on another board. Again, this is for information only, I do NOT recommend modifying ammo in ANY WAY.
