I'm wondering who (stores) has ambi lowers? I know OST has Seekins and KAC ambi lowers, and ATRS makes an ambi lower. (I'd love to get a AXTS AX556 , but that's neither here-nor-there.) So who carries ambidextrous lowers?
(or How do you you import a restricted firearms? I remember seeing a reference to a step-by-step guide, can somebody direct me to it? Please?)

Thanks in advance

Im also a lefty. I bought a norc lower. Comes comeplete with ambi safety. All I did was add a ambi charging handle, and a BAD Lever. You can find Norc lowers on here, going for about $250. Shipped. Now Im rock'n my norc lower with a DPMS 16 inch upper!
Good Luck
Steve

The fire controls on the AR are lefty friendly out of the box. Bolt release/lock can be engaged with your index finger without the need of a BAD (or similar) lever. The only other upgrades needed would be an ambi safety if you don't like using your index to engage/disengage it, ambi charging handle like the Raptor or BCM and definitely an ambi mag release.

I really like that ATRS ambi lower.

bad lever seems completely useless for a lefty. I can manipulate the bolt release with my finger easily and it seems it would get int the way of an ambi mag release.

Concur completely. I'm pretty sure the standard bolt hold/release was actually designed by a lefty!

I bolted a BAD on - and had it unbolted within thirty seconds. Thats not an ergo tool for a lefty - but I can see it helping out the righties.

Add a 45 degree BADASS with a thin lever on the left side, and a Troy ambi mag release - and you have as good an ambi lower as you could possibly want - at a fraction of the price.

Clip that lower to an Adcor Bear upper (which features a left or rightside forward charging handle) - and you have a tool that lacks nothing for a lefty shooter.

I have a Raptor CH on its way to me, though - just because!

For me, I'd like to have a bolt release on the right side, I don't need an ambi mag release (because of how I reload, with retention), but I'd like release the bolt like how I release my mag. I can work the 'ping-pong' lever... alright, but for me it's a extra/different movement (sorry, I'm a bit of a Magpul/Dynamics fanboy). BTW I am looking at a BAD-ASS (ambi-safety), and a ambi CH.
