30-30 is cheapest for sure and will drop deer no problem within reasonable range. $15/box for blue box federals in calgary. I think it's worth the extra 3 bucks a box to move up to .308 or 30-06 though, a little more versatile.

Yep, 50 to 60 cents per reload depending on the options and for any but the most oddball calibers. And you can achieve better control on the charge weights for even more accuracy. Not to mention playing with the overall length to suit your rifle and achieve better accuracy.
What are the caliber restrictions?Personally I prefer the .270 win for everything from coyotes to moose. God damn caliber restrictions. LOL. But really Id go 30-30 and reload with some lead bullets. Im reloading them now for about 30 cents a round!!!!!!
