I am getting more into shooting pistols... whats the best / cheapest cowboy gun I can get in 22 cal? I've owned two semis and a cowboy revolver should be next on the list
I have a Herbert Schmidt that I picked up at auction for about $175.00 that I REALLY like. Reliable, accurate, and well finished is how I'd describe it.
For parts for the HERBERT SCHMIDT both Marstar and Numrich Gun Parts list them as SMALL FRAME .22 or GERMAN SINGLE ACTION .22, they then list all the different names they were sold as.
Unless you want to go bulleye shooting, a .22cal cowboy will make you bore soon. Try going to www.marstar.ca and look for Pietta single action revolver in 357 magnum. They are well made and with reasonable price. You can shoot .38 for cheaper ammo.
