I jsut ordered a few SVT40s so I went looking for cheap ammo...
While I don't complain too much about Wholesale sports selling it for $269.99+tax per crate of 880 rounds of corrosive (czech/bulgarian/chinese)... I found SFRC (The Ammo Source) in ontario selling it for 209.99 plus tax and shipping.

I ordered four crates...

Shipping for TWO crates came to $71 via UPS. Shipping for FOUR crates came to $121.
That came out to a total of $250 per crate, all tax and shipping in. Shipped to my door.

Anyone ever found any better?

7.62x39 SKS ammo is always cheap... Plenty of places sell 1200round cases already loaded onto 10round stripper clips (currently on sale at wholesale sports for $199) and 1440 round cases for anywhere from $200 to $300. I got my cases for $150 each at MilArm in Edmonton for boxing day special but the normal price is something like $245. (corrosive, czech and chinese)
 
Yup SFRC is a great company to deal with. Have never had a bad experience with them :) just wish I had more money to buy more toys from them.
 
Westrifle has Mosin plus 440 rounds of ammo for $340, SHIPPING INCLUDED. Plus, you pay no PST if you are in Ontario. And oh yeah, Sergey usually has the nicest red rifles you'll find this side of the Volga!
 
for effs sake! I didnt check tradex. oh well i did really well only spending $15 more per case and well under the retail shelf price.

a rare few canadian tires sell norinco SP 54R (new manufacture) in 400 round boxes for $169.99

well they used to they go through purolator here which was bought out by canada post in the nt so its canada post...... but try talking to a ups agent regarding it they have no idea.... and just see no UPS is there even tho there is operators here.... I prefered when Buffalo Airways Ran UPS here is was great. I can sometimes convince a store send an item UPS then it gets to edmonton where they give it to purolator then they give it to canada post within a 2 week period... but it works

thats good price. however, taxes in at sfrc is only 317.34 less 40 rds. and gas for me, but is kind of on way home from work. that is sale price
 
I've been watching these prices for a while. Shops local to Edmonton seem to know how to price just over what it costs to have singles shipped in. I wish I was heading to Vancouver and pick up a half dozen cases to make it worth my while.
