Hello all

I have seen the cz 455 going for 300$ brand new in the states while I am seeing it sell for 529$ here. Am I looking in the wrong places or is it all the duty the shop owners here have to pay to import them that makes them higher in price?

Thanks

Not sure about a new 455 at $300 US, but I recently bought a 455 Varmint in 17 hmr from P&D for $499. They seem to be running $399-$429 US, so seems about right to me for difference between US and Can.

I've seen 452's for under $500 at sight sponsors. They're about $100 more here than in the U.S., which is not unusual. Keep an eye open for a deal in the EE, or buy one from a sponsor here. Don't bother with what they're going for in the U.S., you'll drive yourself crazy.

Since the beginning of time things have been cheaper in the US ( and more selection). Otherwise there would be no reason to cross the border

Just love CZ rimfires 452 American is a tackdriver

P&D usually has a good selection of CZ. I have a 452 Varmint and it is deadly accurate. You'll be paying more than in the US though. I've come to except that.

Americans aren't getting the great deal some think.
Average Canadian wage (2012) was $52000.
Average American wage (2012) was $43000.
Consumer prices are always indexed to average wages....so in reality the prices are pretty equal.
It's why government is not all that enamored of cross border shopping.

Yes but don't forget it's the disposable income after taxes that's critical..
