I've been hunting around (online) for decent, cheap bullets available in Canada. I only shoot paper, so I'm not really in need of expensive varmint or exotic expanding stuff.

XTREME makes some really cheap FMJ-BT stuff that appears to be of high quality but they won't ship to Canada and I can't find any Canadian distributors.

Where do you go for economical bulk bullets in Canada?

SFRC a site sponsor at the top is in ON and they have Hornady .308 150gr FMJ for 24cents each in a 250ct box http://www.theammosource.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15_19_169&products_id=1564

They also list .224 bullets by the thousand for 12cents each.

I don't know alot about bulk bullets but these prices are much lower than I've been paying for conventional cup and core Hornadys for hunting...they also have the best price I've found on 7mm inter locks. I paid $42/100 for my last box of 139BTSP and they have'em for $29.99

Come on guys someone else must know where there are deals to be had.

Just checked Mystic Precision also site sponsor .308 150fmj(Prvi) 22.5 cents each by the thousand "lowest priced 30 cal bullets in Canada". Also love Jerry's advice on reloading, accuracy, budget gun builds...loads of good info.http://www.mysticprecision.com/wp/701/bulk-match-and-fmj-bullets/

Another vote for cast. When I started I was buying all kinds of nice jacketed rounds to go out and rattle gongs with, and I was shooting so much it was too pricey. Being new to reloading, I had always just considered cast loads to be for slow lobs at big close targets. Boy was I wrong. I used gas checked casts in a few guns that I push as hard as I like, and get great results at interesting ranges. Much cheaper than hunting projectiles, even with the shipping factored in.

I'm with the cast crowd, especially for paper punching. I'd start reading the Cast Bullet Association and Cast Boolits forums while you try the commercial cast bullets, then get yourself a bullet mold.
There are a few things that go with it, but don't get carried away with expensive equipment early in the game.

Unfortunately I live in a small apartment so casting my own boolits is out of the question.. I'm sort of stretching it with all the reloading gear I have already ;)

Where is a good place to find cast rifle bullets in Canada? I've checked out a few sites but can only find pistol bullets.

Bullet barn in bc I believe has some

I don;t cast my own, I've not progressed there. I have about 500lb of wheel weights, but I just trade them around when I can.

I buy hard cast, mostly from the bullet barn.
