Cheapest store for Reloading supplies/Where do you get yours?

I find P and D is great for projectiles, Budget for powder (if they have what I want in stock) and wholeslae for primers.

I usually buy primers by the 5000 box. I like to do that because they are all from the same lot and I don't have to work up new loads with a different brand of primers. Same goes for powder. I like the 8 pound tubs for the same reason. When I buy bullets, I will usually order 1000 all sealed in the same plastic wrapper with the same lot number. It all depends on how much you shoot. It also depends on what you shoot.

The bulk ammo from some of the banner suppliers is as cheap as you can usually load it for. That doesn't mean it will shoot well in your particular firearm though. You will just have to take your chances. Canada Ammo, close to you on the mainland, offers free shipping over $100 but you still have to pay the tax. Same goes for some of the other banner advertizers.

Right now, you may have some difficulty finding what you are looking for at a decent price. Some components are almost impossible to get because of the shortages and hoarding in the US.

If you're very penny concious, check out the banner advertizers. Higginson's was mentioned but they aren't a banner advertizer and don't even advertize in the EE.

The U.S. thing explains alot. I was kind of freaking out right after I bought all my kit, when I realized the reloading supplies are not cheaper than buying factory cartridges. I am just trying to find somewhere to buy supplies to save money to justify the costs of my turret kit really. I guess I will need to buy in bulk and ask my local gun shop.

Wow checking out Higginson's right now and they are really cheap! Doesn't say how much for shipping though, and their powders come in 1lb, 4lb, and 7lb. Weird I thought it would be 8lbs since the Hodgdon website doesn't say 7lb jars.
 
Starting to reload is a motion in training.
Once you get going, things will start to come along.
You will learn prices and shop at gun shows too.
Thirty dollars for a pound of powder is a decent deal.
I bought a pound of IMR 4350 at our gun show just past.
No tax.
Box of bullets for the 6.5x55 I just bought, $35 and again no tax.
Nine boxes of live ammo, $100, local show, no tax.
Buy what you need and git into it.
The rest will come.
Del in Vernon has some good prices if you're in the area.

I believe I've read on here that it's a case of 1lb's, not the 8lb jug.

Once things return to normal I may try buying my powder out east. Seems to be way cheaper then what we pay in the west.
 
Higginson repackages his powder that I believe he gets in bulk. Used to be you would get a box with a 7 lb bag of powder in it.
