Couple come to mind - Paul McKinnon in PEI (pm for contact info); Mario Beuregard in Quebec website is Nordais; Brian West at Sylvan Lake - website is Westpeake. Sure there are others but know these three guys - all very experienced,knowledgeable and straight up guys.

Good to know there are more of us out there :)
 
Look up Jennifer McCrimmon in meadow lake. I got my last dog from her (3rd chessie). Excellent temperament, great hunter and super smart.
 
I can't speak to Chessies, but you're not far from one of the better Lab breeders around... Trailrunners. FWIW.
 
Paul McKinnon was mentioned and I would highly recommend you contact Paul. He will also give you a list of recommended breeders if he can't fix you up.
 
Ever consider a Lab Chesapeake cross? I have had a male for 6 years and he is an excellent hunting dog. I have been told by several knowledgeable dog people that the breeding of the Lab into the Chesapeake softens some of the inherent stubbornness of the Chesapeake. My first black Lab made it to 15 1/2 years until I had to put him down - he was still hunting at 12 years old.
