Ahhh questar. Every so often i take a look at what they carry and think "hmm that looks alright", but then with their well earned reputation and the constant stream of piss poor press I just go to a dealer I trust and get what I want ....I wonder how much business they lose through these stupid decisions they make.

The barrel condition and Questar's response aside, I think we can all admit that they're not a horrible company.

They've always treated me pretty decent and they carry a lot of stuff that other sponsors don't.

How many of you Questar haters own G19's or G26's? NOBODY other than Questar did that for us.

I'll continue to shop there, I just hope they straighten this out.

Blaxsun, maybe send the pics to LMT and tell them this is what Questar sold you and maybe they can help resolve the issue.

I've already touched base with LMT, actually. This particular barrel was apparently part of a very limited run of 50, and they indicated it would've been inspected and test-fired before going out. How a barrel that goes through that level of QC at LMT and still manages to arrive marred and internally-damaged is anyone's guess...

Threads like this help me save my money... Not really though I just spend it else where.

I was asked to "please post in the proper forum in the future". In my defense, posting an open concern about a vendor in a forum that they can control, edit, lock or otherwise delete seems somewhat self-defeating...

Similar issue last year

Something similar happened to me with my LMT barrel purchase.

Unfortunately,
I warned them about this rust and rough finish issue last year and gave them crap for not checking the box before shipping.

The fact that they did it again and this one is much worse, makes me wonder if the grade of barrel they sold me was a "proper" new LMT barrel.

I admit that Questar does bring a lot of cool stuffs particular the FN rifles like the PS90 and FS2000. It is just very hard to boycott the company if you are interested in those products. But their return policy and customer services just plain poor.

How exactly would Questar "retaliate" with negative rating? Unless I misunderstood the rules, the only Neg rating a seller can give is for non-payment after a buyer agrees to purchase. Thats it.

If thats not the case, and we are all free to hit back tit for tat, what is the point of the system?

As a potential customer with no previous bias for, or against Questar I would definately reccomend a response to this thread for the others like me awaiting a rebuttle. I've seen similar threads go positivly and on the other hand very negatively...after investing some time reading said posts my opinions of the comapies were set...and like a few have said I have blacklisted some for this very reason and decided to deal with others seing their good customer service. It would be unwise to ignore this, regardless of your stance Questar.
