Check out the wolf behaviour

here in Ralfdom (hehe) most places are open for wolves,cyotes during big game season... before i get jumped here i said MOST not all.
but as I said before he got his moose by himself opening day!! give the guy his due...
 
He might not be "TV Host" material but my hats off to him for still going hunting when his buddy bailed. I've had so called "buddies" bail on me and my opinion is they're all talk but no action. That's why I hunt alone.
I've shot and packed out a couple of moose myself and it's nothing but hard work. The hardest was shot at 5pm and I finished at 8am the next morning.:D
7 x 1.5 mile round trips with a packboard. That one hurt me.

But on the plus side I had moose steaks on the bbq tonight.:D

I have not seen any of his other videos, but....

what if he was just making fun of some of the goofs who do complain when its not that cold. A spoof on the so called "great white hunter" each of us seems to know. (not directed to anybody on this board)
 
I looked at the other videos of Halfdock.
He sure lacks the entertaining quality of a real show person but at least he tries and makes it up as a successful hunter and nature lover.
Also, I very much like the fact that he involves his family and is teaching his son values and responsibility.
 
This fellow has clearly gone to a considerable effort to document his hunt and he deserves credit for that. For anyone who hasn't tried it, take your camcorder out on your next hunt and try to get everything down. It's pretty difficult and takes effort and planning.

Having said that (give credit where credit is due), I would have popped at least one of the wolves when they were expressing an unhealthy interest in me. AFAIC, it's best if they look for their food somewhere else. That goes double when you're in the bush solo.

guys, I was scared this morning to go to work, it was +1 C...I didnt know what to do, I was going to cry, but I put on my coat and I felt safer. I was hardcore
 
Guys give the guy a break, my grandpa hunted moose all by himself and he used and old lever action 32/40 no scope matter of fact no nothing. So he sounded a little funny wonder what you all sound like by your self. my 2 cents

Is this announcement of your weird admiration for Tod Bartell your sorta, round-about kinda of a way of "coming out". That's very nice of you to kum clean, but some of us have suspected it all along based on some of your previous posts. And remember, YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT....:eek:
