Check out this 30mm optic mount that should work with CSA rifles?

It liooks like it would place the optic right over the action on a VZ 58 type rifle that would cause some grief. I also checked out there website and did not see any info on a flat top rail either. Although I do like the ability to center it over the bore. Wonder who is going to buy 1 to try it out?

i think the mount on my CSA is farther back than that AKM mount , i will buy one to try out with my vortex strikfire but not sure if brownells will ship it cause its over $100?

I am almost positive that this mount will be too low for a CSA rail.
I have a low profile AK mount, and it is 2-3 mm too low... The only way I could use it is on a regular CZ 858 with Kasat's side bracket.. And still I had to weld the rail higher on the bracket... I wonder if they could give us some measurements to compare..
Other than that it looks very good and light.

You would think it would be fine because the AK type rifles have a higher profile overall than the VZs

i bought this mount from "KalinkaOptics" , it was a AK/Saiga Low profile mount. On the website picture it looked about the same height from the receiver as this new mount. Look how much i had to raise the siderail to make this mount work. ::

And this is how it fits the CSA with the original sidemount. ::

As you see its crooked, hits the dust cover..
