Check out this rack

The deer can get pretty big around here. I've heard of a few (not many) hitting the 250# mark hanging. Here's a couple of pics from an outfitter's site that's not a bad body shot on short notice.

That is a huge deer with a small rack.

You guys seem to have missed the point. The dude that shot it paid BIG bucks to be professionally guided to it. The guides know how to cape and look after a head!!

Actually, both hunters were from Saskatchewan, so there isn't a outfitter in Saskatchewan that would touch them with a 10' pole. The outfitters don't want resident hunters to know their hunting area because, legally, resident hunters can hunt on outfitter leases provided they don't use the outfitters blinds or stands.
Similar event happened in north eastern Saskatchewan. One outfitter took some quebec hunters out on a guided hunt, and now the quebec hunters are there every year, without a guide. Wouldn't be bad if they weren't such #######s, but such is life.
Another group from quebec was caught poaching near Porcupine Plain. They were sending poached racks back to quebec via courier. While hunting in the area, we came across two poached bucks with the racks removed, but otherwise untouched. (yes, we notified the DNR)
