This is a rare one ive only seen 3 in 10 years and there really neat so thought id post it.
Antique gun collecting dont get boreing thats for sure always something new that you never seen before comes along.
This is a H&A No 6 and looking at the first picture quick you think so what another spur trigger 41 Rf revolver.
But look closer its a swing out cylinder on its own crane .
Really well made this ones in ex shape to. the swing out part is spring loaded to you just pull the cylinder rod forward then push the cylinder abit and it pops out to the right for loading and unloading.
I already shot it with the HC 41 rf reloadable ammo.
I collect 41 Rf handguns that are intresting.
Anyway a few guys wanted to see it so i decided to post it here rather than send out a bunch of pics via email as im sure other members will find it intresting as its a very rare piece.

Hey that is a fascinating little hybrid and a very nice find indeed!

H&A was one of those really innovative 19th Century companies that tried out a lot of things, some "gimmicky", some not. Be interesting to read the patent info on that one and compare to later designs.

Does it swing to the right like a French 1892 or to the left like the majority of modern revolvers?

Patent date March 23 1871 so this pre dates alot of other swing out designes .
The Colts first swing out was the 1889
I cant think of anything except some prototype webleys that were made with a swing out cylinder that early.
Theses H&A were a production gun not just a proto type.
Its bigger than any of my other 41 Rf 5 shot spur trigger guns and has more heft to it to.
