I was lucky enough to be able to pick up 2 bullets I thought I'd never get my hands on. From left to right, here they are;
338LM AI , 408 Cheytac, 416 Barrett, 50cal

yep, it was........apparently, and glock can fill in all the details or say if I am talking out my ass, but cheytac has apparently found new company's to supply there components.

Very nice indeed.

But I am also very curious about that funny looking bullet poking out of your 338AI case.

Looking forward to seeing them more closely. Any chance of bringing a few 'naked'?

Mystic, the 338LM bullet is a 300gr prototype with a crazy BC but it was built on a jacket that was too thin. We actually ripped them to shreds inside of 50yds which was amazing and too bad all at the same time.

The guys from Cheytac were actually interesting to talk to. I quizzed them on the coriolis effect and they say that when a bullets flight path crosses the mile mark while shooting north to south, some compensation is required.

The thing all these casings have in common is that the webbing is much stronger then casings like the Rigby.

One of the guys from Barrett was saying that Lee and RCBS already have dies available for the 416 which is great to hear.

I think, with time, these two new comers will hopefully gain enough popularity that we'll see the calibers in Canada. Anyone looking to crank out bullets for either two calibers will be in it as a long term investment in Canada at least. From the states is probably where we're going to have to go to get jacketted high BC bullets for these 2 heavy hitters.

If the BC is near or over 0.8 AND they are lighter, life is good.

300grMK with a BC of 0.76ish going 2900fps - good

265gr WC with a BC of 0.8ish(?) going 3100fps - fantastic.

Hope to hear some ballistic feedback from those who are testing these slugs.

If you have contact info for him, I'd be very interested in talking to him.

I think its Matrix Ballistics. We ordered some 30 cal bullets / I think HWSNBN ordered a variety as well. I could not get them to shoot well out of my 300WM, no matter what I did with them. (Powder, OAL, neck tension, etc). Barrel just didn't like them.:confused:

Now, that being said, anyone thinking of ordering from Matrix ballistics, he's a great guy. Nothing but great dealings with him.
