I'm just copying these images from one of my ATV sites.
There is no description at all, only the title "Check This Out!" and the pictures.
Has anybody seen this?

Is that another deers antler stuck in there, or did that boy have a third antler growing out his eye socket?

I have seen a three antlered deer at a taxidermist, and they are around.

Looking at the differences in the front bases of his antlers, and the little stubs sticking up from his hair along the front of the skull.

The shape of the stub end of the unit out of his eye socket looks similar to the club ends of some drop tines.

What was the source of this set of pictures? Any follow-up?

Pretty cool trophy. in any case!

Cheers

I think Its a fake also. The third photo shows the antler lower than the first photo. Not by much but slightly. I also dont think that deer would have been able to break the antler off the other deer with his eye. Look how thick the base is. Possible? Sure, probable? Doubtful...

that looks like he picked a fight with someone meaner than him and won.. kinda.

looks like the other bucks horn broke off in that one. kinda interesting.

...

how would an antler break off in an eye socket? thats the question I pose to the peanut gallery.

anyone else think its impossible?

I don't think it looks too deep...

It looks perfectly real to me. The antler of the smaller deer probably got stuck in the jaw bone of the bigger one. (Dead sentence for both.) In order to separate the two bodies the hunter probably had to saw off the antler of the smaller deer. The base looks like a straight cut.

Looks like the smaller antler was in the eye area for a while...look at the scar tissue building. The head end of the small antler looks like it was ripped out at the root...you know how a shed has the porus area at the end where it enters the antler socket.
Really weird.
