yup i see 2 birds. one is on the left side just the head sticking out. good pics. need to get one for my parents property (a trail cam)

I luv looking at trail cam pics. I finally got one and installed it today. With any luck I will have pics like yours soon. I have a Moultrie and even though they are supposed to be water proof, the gaskets in side and especially the cover for the batteries just do not look to good, so I nailed an aluminum pie plate to the tree just over the camera to make a roof, and I also used that green painters tape to try and seal anything that opens.

Something you have to check with the Moultries is the battery cover. If you attatch your camera to a small trunked tree with the straps, and you tighten it just a little bit to much you will see the battery cover seperate from the unit a small bit which will let water in.

Mine is inside a security box for added safety and protection...I bought the Moultrie box... and I would NOT recommend it. But it does serve the basic function.

I was thinking of getting one of those. What is it that you do not like about it???

The Moultrie box does not fit the camera very well and there is no way to effectively mount the camera inside the box without it sliding around. There are no mounting holes in the camera to fasten it to the box.

I would check out www.camlockbox.com . They evidently are made to exactly fit the I-40.

Quick question on the Moultrie cam's....is it worth getting the IR model. SIR has a 5.0mp IR for $230....or is the $120 4.0 regular flash camera (at WalMart) going to do just as well. Time to give these Bushnell cams the boot!
