Chee-a-pass Bandit Bootleg (AKA Booty Bandit) range reports and modifications thread

What kind of dovetail rail - Picatinny adapters are people running on their booty bandits?

I had a 3D printed rail but it’s just not holding up well enough. Not sure if it’s a bad print or bad design.
I’ve also tried an aluminium dovetail adapter but because of the convex top on the booty dovetail, it didn’t fit well.

I’m not overly keen on grinding the receiver if it can be avoided.

I will probably go back and epoxy the 3D printed option in place if nothing else, but was hoping for another avenue!

Before I filled the top flat on mine I was using a BKL mount which fits fine but sits pretty high.
I much prefer the lower profile rail adapter and the flat top modification to the Booty Bandit.

No sure I'll run any mounts on the Bandit, but I've had good luck on other rifles with these low profile adaptors.

I bought a pair of those because the arch looked like it would clear.... and it does. But the angle of the clamping surface and the thickness does not match the angle of the dovetail that Cheeeapass cut into these guns. The mounts could likely be carefully modifed by hand to match the angles better but it would be harder skill wise and take more time then simply filing the top flat like I did.

The best part of filing the top flat is now any standard 3/8 sized rimfire mounts will work.
