Hey guys. I just bowed to the inevitable and ordered a scope mount for my M1A from Frank over at M14.CA. I now need to bring in a cheek pad. I saw one I liked at TVSM or whatever it is but I don't know if they export to Canada. (Do cheek pads offend and frighten liberal anti-gun nuts too?)
Are any of our suppliers selling a good one? If so - can ya let me know?
 
Depends on what you want. A strap on unit is convenient but doesn't always provide enough height. I tried a blackhawk model and eventually went to a Kidex molded unit that is bolted thru the stock. If you are going to be using one of Frank's mounts, I suggest a cheek riser/ pad with lots of height adjustment and some low rings on ypour optic.
 
Cheeknstock out of the USA for a traditional leather one that just seems to fit the woodstocked M14 - each one handmade. Will ship to Canada

Blackhawk for a more 'tacticool' look. They make quite a few so choose carefully.

Coyote - excellent but closed till June

Tac Pro - a lot of people like them but I think they are overpriced/overrated

Have you tried the Tac Pro kidex unit? It works great on my norc...
 
Only if the box says M-14 cheek pad. If it says M1A, you're fine. Parts is parts.
Cheeknstock says their pad fits wood and synthetics. Theirs is kind of pretty too.
There are a few styles on Fabsports' site.
 
I just got my Bradley cheek adjustable riser in the mail today. Seems like a sturdy fit and no stock modifications required.
 
Looked around for a while..... untill I found BreadleyCheekrests.. IMO, he makes the best cheekrests on the market ! close to 100$US but still, it's Worth it...
