I want to buy/make a cheek rest for my Robinson XCR, only problem is, it has a skeleton stock and I'm having trouble finding a solution....I don't want to just tape something on either or modify the stock (like drilling holes)....Anyone have any thoughts?

....Oh, and does anyone know if you can buy collapsible stocks for the XCR?

What's the external diameter of that upper tube?
It it was 1" or 30mm. it would be an easy task to clamp two weaver scope rings upside-down on it and use a weaver rail blank as the solid foundation for a nice custom neoprene foam and leather cheekpad...
PP.

The Soviet Dragunov cheekrest is padded leather on a sheet metal backer, held on with a wire bail catch. Put the pad on the top skeleton bar, snag the wire loop on its hook, and swing the keeper over to latch.
