cheek rests

Here is mine. More then likely the most high tech one you will see posted here.

Since I took the pic I've gotten lower rings but I still need a better cheek piece.

Looking for a cheekrest for my fcp hs precision not really wanting to drill holes . Strap on style would be good. Show your pics and brand Where you got it

A rest or a riser?

I have both on diffrent rifles... A Kydex M14 Riser on my M14 and a padded cheek rest that straps on i bought thru fabsports that is forever installed on my Mk.2 gopher sniper... Most of the riser style i have seen are either made to bolt thru and offer lots of adjustment up and down or lace on and gives you about 1/2" of padded "up".

I love the Eagle Stock/ cheek piece with that nice fabric on the face... I also happen to love the coyote brown colour / FDE look. Here is a coon I took last coon season:

I have it mounted on a Mcmillan hunter stock in woodland camo. Rifle is a Rem M700 SPS .223 cut down to 18.5" for portability.

I had an Eagle piece too on my Rem 700P, but mine had a tactical blue dishcloth folded up underneath it for extra elevation!

The folks at Milcun like to point out that Remington contours their stocks for staring through iron sights a centimetre above the bore, but 99% of their customer base is using some kind of elevated optic.

I have to agree with Hungry. Eagle makes great products...I have a couple of these things and they are great. Got mine from SealsAction gear in Calgary.

Jeezus, that is pretty high tech Laugh2

I like the cushions from your parents 70's style basement as well :)

They came from my girlfriends parents basement. :D

They make the sleigh ride to the lake a lot smoother for the guns.

One thing I found with cheek rests like the ones posted so far is that they push your face up and away from the stock. Makes it a little uncomfortable to shoot in my opinion. Does anyone make a cheek rest that just has padding on top?

That Raccoon is HUGE!

Glad that you like that size of a racoon! It has been bothering my farmer's house and I had to wait until January season to light it up if it ever showed it's face. And it did! :D

Now here is my latest build (thanks juanvaldez) of a .260 Rem Shilen Select Match barrel from Sudbury. Then I added the AICS 2.0 and installed ANOTHER Eagle Stock pack/cheek piece. Have a look how the velcro attaches. Kinda good, but kinda goofy when I folded the stock... impossible to do.

So I ordered a SKT Industries (google them) in Seattle, WA and spoke to the owner / designer / engineer and he made up another one for me in FDE colour (or was it coyote tan?). Anyways, have a look...

As you can see it will fold flat against the AICS 2.0 alignment stud (you AICS 2.0 owners know what I mean). Have a notice about how the Eagle cheek piece conflicts with the AICS adjustable plastic/nylon cheekpiece and I had to remove it. With the SKT Idustries stock pack, the AICS cheekpiece is integrated into the design.

What an excellent product. I will be doing a report next week on the SKT Industries cheek piece when I have more time. I don't want to hijack this thread. If any of you AICS owners reading this want more information about the SKT Industries unit, then PM me.

Same rifle and with TWO different cheek pieces (same color, too) :D

This is by far one of the best cheek rest that one can get for a rifle, I have test out several different, and now that all I have on my rifle. beside the price point and comfort, you can do it yourself, don't need any Gunsmith installing Or Modifying you existent rifle.

I have a Tac Ops, I won't use a gun with out one, plus it saves a lot of money getting an adjustable cheek piece.
