cheek rests

This is by far one of the best cheek rest that one can get for a rifle, I have test out several different, and now that all I have on my rifle. beside the price point and comfort, you can do it yourself, don't need any Gunsmith installing Or Modifying you existent rifle.

but i bet that thing picks up chicks

The problem with that is inadequate clearance with the cleaning rod. To work, it pretty much has to be either lowerable or removable.

Don't waist money on a professional foam riser, just use some copper pipe foam instillation! It costs cents and works great.

I used this method for many years. After many matches with my fat head resting on the cheek piece (Can you say: Match 63 300m Agony Snap ?) waiting for 10 x 3 second exposures anywhere in that 10 minute window, that pipe insulation foam compacted/compressed. So I switched to higher density packing foam from my son's downhill mtn biking frame that was shipped to us. He used to be sponsored by Devinci Mtn Bikes out of Quebekistan. They had the best chunks of packing foam along all their tubes (top, down, seat post, lower triangle, chain stays) so I passed lots of it out to other PR competitors.

I'm still using some of that foam many years later. Stuff lasts for quite a while! :D

Do any of you have experience with the Voodoo Tactical product and the HiCal (NC Star) product?

The HiCal product ($36. + $5.40 tax + $14. shipping for a total of $55.40) is just about what you'd expect from NC Star (but hey, at least the NC Star label is hidden on the inside ;)). $55.40 worth of NC Star crap.

Is Voodoo Tactical real gear? Or it just more Chinese craptical nylon?

I just recently got a couple items from Voodoo Tactical as Christmas presents. Although I do believe it is made in China I am pretty impressed with the quality of the product. Havent put it through its paces yet, but like it so far.
