I in the process of scoping my new JRA m14. I am think I am going to go with the arms 18 mount with arms 22 rings. I like how low the arms 18 mount sits. I am looking for options in cheek risers. I don't want to drill any holes in my stock to add one. I was eyeing the TNVC rsp mod 0. I really like that one but they will not ship to Canada. Does anyone know any similar cheek risers available that will ship to Canada?

Here is a pic of the new JRA:

thanks,

Check out the Bradley Ajustable Cheekrest. Great piece of kit, a little on the expensive side but very well built. Also swaps easily to other rifles. Lots of colour options too!

You can get a cheek rest that's actually adjustable, works better, costs less and is made in Canada. No drilling and you don't remove it from the stock to adjust the height.

I just picked up 2 cheekbags from the US, a Blackhawk! Cheek rest/bag
And an Allen cheek rest/bag. I went to 10 surplus stores and almost 10 gunstores
Before I found them at sportsmans warehouse in Colorado!
Im not back in Canada yet so I can't vouch for fit or function yet.
I really wanted the TNVC but as you said, couldn't get it (or find it in the US)
Save yourself the stress and order online, ive been looking for months and havent found anything in stores.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

I have tried a couple of adjustable cheekrests on other rifles. The cheapest solution is not always the best one. 'Fast install' is a warning that the mount might not be very stable. When I lay my head down on the rifle, I don't want any movement or instability. When I look at the two-piece designs, I see someone else who tried the first generation cheekrests and formed the same conclusions. As far as price, you get what you pay for, and at a dollar a round I want to buy a few fewer variables.

(And after looking at the pictures, I see Nonsponsor Bradley has fixed cheekrests that are about 1 1/2" tall and adjustable cheekrests in a variety of colours. Good! I also see they sell coloured replacement Velcro straps for $13. Hmmm? I have a sheet of Kydex and handtools ....

Absolutely correct. However...

As far as price, you get what you pay for,

When it comes to Kydex products, this is definitely not the case.

As a manufacturer, I have invested a lot of time and money on the design of my company's products and in the latest manufacturing technology. This lets my company produce products that are far superior to the competition and ship orders within hours instead of months. In addition, my company's products are generally less expensive, although I use better and more expensive materials, such as Kydex 100 instead of Kydex T (Kydex T is used by almost all other holster makers due to lower cost), stainless metal hardware where possible and never ship a product with a raw, unfinished edge (check the raw edges of a Bradley cheek rest).

Have you ever considered making a cheek rest for the adjustable butt stocks?

I run an M14 with an M14Doctor stock, and I was looking to pick one of these up from the states (the rest portion), but if they were made here...

The Eagle industries adjustable pads work just fine, and they are about 20-25$
There is enough adjustment in the Velcro so that more padding can be added underneath if a higher comb is needed.
They come with a ghey pouch and/or loops to hold rounds on the weak side, but you can simply ignore their use.
They cinch down with zero play and the 'suede' finish is easy on the cheek for a comfortable weld.
