cheers

I saw that SFRC sold a few lately.

How do you guys like them so far? Compatible with your lowers? How is the fit? With another BCG?

Did you change parts and furniture with issues or not?

Thank you for your time.

Mine runs like a charm. I did get the Buffer Tech extractor upgrade from Brownells though. It likes either BCG from my 14.5 or the 10.5.

Mine ran great out of the box. I had it on an Armalite lower with no issues of any kind. Quite different being able to put a shorty upper on an AR for $600 complete.

ETA - fit on the Armalite lower was very snug, no movement at all.

Mine is SUPER tight on my RRA lower. Much more than the RRA upper. Still waiting on a new buffer spring as it seems my stock spring might be too soft. (Previous upper on that lower was 18,5")

JOOC, what is happening that makes you think your stock buffer spring might be too soft?

Assuming you already have a BCG, CH, from your origional upper, and who doesnt have a carry handle or buis laying around already anyways? Cant really use 2 ch/ bcg at the same time anyway/

6 Month wait? The website was saying in stock

Nope. Did not say in stock. I saw that before. It's been special order for awhile.

You can sell one of those bolts/carriers and carry handle / buis, then the Norc 10.5" will only cost you $150.

Still beats the LMT hands down. In that case I can get 3 Norcs for the price of 1 LMT

Well, I'm not 100% sure. I read a bit about the issue i'm having and it seems to be one of the highly plausible options. A round often gets in the chamber while the empty case still hasn't completely ejected, but not all the time. From what i've read it looks like people with the same problem often solve the issue using Wolff XP action spring. (Using a Spike T2 buffer btw)

Anyone has problems with the 10.5 inch uppers that was purchased recently?
I heard there was some issues before.

I heard people fixed it by replacing one of the extractor spring?
Or replace the whole bolt carrier group...

Absolutely it's your extractor causing the problem. Replace the Norinco single 'heavy duty' extractor spring with the correct milspec spring with rubber insert (add the #60 rubber O ring as well) and you'll never have extraction/ejection problems again. It's got nothing to do with the buffer spring or buffer. Leave the Spike T2 buffer in, though....won't hurt.

Yes, it's the Norinco "heavy duty" extractor spring that's causing the failure to eject issue. Replace it with the proper extractor spring with rubber insert (add the O ring as well if you really want to be sure) and you'll be fine.
I replaced my BCG with one purchased on the EE which the seller claimed to be LMT. Didn't help one bit....turns out it was a Norinco BCG that was exactly the same as the one in my rifle. It had the same 'heavy duty' extractor spring that causes the problem. Cost me $185 for a Norc BCG that was worth $50 tops....and I fixed the problem with $10 worth of US made parts. (Many thanks to Alberta Tactical Rifle for their help in diagnosing and fixing the problem)
