Cheytac

Where do you get 350gr SMK's?

Sierra makes them on contract to Cheytac who in turn sell them. Not sure the exact details, but in short I bought them through Kirby when I ordered the rifle. Getting them imported is the problem but there are a few places that will do it.

X2!

I have been thinking seriously about a 338AM(338/408), but would jump to a 375AM in a heartbeat if I had access to decent bullets.

Here's the link for the Rocky Mountain bullets.

The sierra's do not have a very good B.C. (around .85). Still better than a .338 bullet but not much.

I got then cause them were the only decent bullet around at the time.

I talked with Peter from Accurate Bullet in BC last summer but we came to the conclusion that making a solid turned bullet would not yield a much better B.C. than the sierra. At least not without increasing the length and causing stability issues. He did say that once he has ironed out the jacketed .408 bullets he is currently making, he would take a look at making jacketed .375cal bullets as well. That would give us a Canadian source for bullets which would be very nice, hope it works out.

If not, the RM Bullets are in full production and will be made available in Canada from what I am told.
