Hey guys,

Went to the range and took my new Chiappa 22 Revolver along. What a fun little revolver. Figured I'd try a 22LR SAA before going with the real deal. I like it :)

Here is a quick pic taken with my cell. I have replaced the grips with wooden ones not too long ago.

Congratulations on the new gun, the SAA is one of the most enduring designs ever.
Like the 1911 there are a lot of originals and clones out there to choose from, an example is shown in the picture.
These were made by the Great Western Arms Company in the early 1950's.

For more information on this company go to Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Western_Arms_Company
These are both chambered for 45 Colt, one is a 5-1/2" barrel the other 7-1/2.
These are quite rare as the company didn't last long and they only produced about 22,000 guns in total.

Thanks for the info Skinny. Will look into that for sure!

I just ordered one last week through Irunguns.us and excited to try the single action out too. I too got the antique finish still liked the blue finish but will see in person. Where did you get wood grips for it? I would like to get that or pearl look grips for it too.. Nice to see that I made a good choice...
