Chiappa 1911 .22 ?????

Chiappa Italian for Crap. Company with pretty much no customer service, or quality control.

Buy a GSG 1911 ( at lease German ), If your stoked for a 1911 in 22LR. If your NOT Ruger 22/45.

Reviews on their 22 auto pistols are a little dodgy for sure.

But, I'll say this. I have a Chiappa M1 wood stock 22 rifle that works like a hot damn'd. Only disappointment is it is 70% plastic once you remove the wood.

I've got a GSG 1911 and Really enjoy it. Not a tack driver by any means and it requires good ammo for functional reliability, but so do a lot of other semi-autos.

I added the SS guide rod and larger muzzle bushing and a straight main spring housing. The magazines are easy to load and bomb proof. Couldn't ask more for the price. Blue Line offers good service as well.

if your looking for a good reliable 22. with the shortage of high velocity 22 get a browning buckmark o a ruger mark II or III all the guys want a copy of something or other. if you want to shoot and not have a lot of pissing around look at them. #### I bet you some of the old high standards will be more reliable Buy revolver they shoot every thing Shooting a 22 semi you need to find what it likes. the same thing applies to rifles. waxed bullets feed in some and not in others not. Hollow
points are great but don't feed in some pistols. I'm sure the guys will chime in on 22 not to be a smart ass. My berretta 70 can be fussy the Vostock shoots great loves waxed bullets the walther eats every thing. My Ruger eats everything. it will jam with low velocity ammo at times But that might be because it's dirty. They can be a pain to clean but want's you don it a few times not so bad just my .02 cents

I went with the GSG 1911 .22 after handling both.

Gotta say I'm pretty happy about my GSG, so much so I ended up buying a second one when they came out with different finishes.
