I see I am well behind in this thread. :(

NO, no, that's cool.

So I had a friend print one out of PLA. I haven't picked it up yet, but am eager to try it out.

To continue my project of cosmetic improvements to the M1-9, I am also considering a USGI replacement rear sight (although the one that came installed is actually fairly good and visibly representative of the original), and a USGI stock (I understand some hand fitting is required).

Also, i still have to figure out how to re-install the front sight after replacing the barrel band with a USGI one.

Here is mine. USGI barrel band with bayonet lugg. And 3D printed magazine cover. Painted with Krylon Fusion All-In-One Matalic Black Stainless

Question, how cool or lame would it be to put "rack numbers" on a Chiappa M1-9 Carbine?

eg on a real M1 Carbine

It's your rifle, so do as you please. On mine I have an original sling and buttstock canvas pouch, even though the pouch doesn't hold the 9mm mags. But it looks neat. It's not like it's a priceless or rare firearm, so feel free to modify it in anyway you'd like.... just make sure to post some pictures so we can see afterwards :p
