Chiappa Black Rhino 60DS

I think they are beautiful and the concept is sound. The lower centre of gravity reducea flip giving faster reaquisition.

Rented many times in the US. haven bought one yt but that is only due to a limited budget. Very respectable revolvers.

I have a Chiappa M1 clone that shoots and functions like a hot damned. Pity that it's 85% plastic. That was disappointing........

Locally I've seen two folks with the Chiappa 9mm M1 clones. Both had major numbers of jams. I was right there to see them as it was a local Speed Steel match and I was their RO for both of them. Reading up online I found lots more supporting stories that say this is more common than not.

Pity too. I'd pick up one of the wood stocked M1 clones in a heartbeat if I knew that they would not be problematic.

Back to the revolver. They had one at Wanstalls a few years ago and I looked it over, held it and got to dry fire it. Since I mostly shoot DA that's how I tried it out. The trigger was pretty heavy and at the time I didn't know of any spring kits or what else might be needed. So while it fit my hands well and promised some interesting revolver shooting I passed it by. Well, all that plus my feelings about Chiappa which were already there at the time.
