I am thinking of purchasing one of these Double Badgers to take up on a Moose Hunting trip to shoot some Grouse with and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. I going to go with the 22lr\ 410 combo. I also want to be able to shoot 22 shorts out of it so I don't make a lot of noise !!!
Thanks

I have one! It's my go-to grouse gun- also in .22LR and .410

It's got adjustable fiber optics on it from the factory, and folds in half to fit perfectly into my backpack. The takedown on it is a little stiff when you want to open it up, but it gets a little easier as time goes by.

Mine has given me 0 issues so far, and has taken its share of grouse with the .410. I have yet to bump into one that necessitated a .22 round, but I've used it for plinking.

I've already recommended it as a grouse gun to a number of people.

I have one and it is great for packing due to the folding in half feature. I tend not to use the 22lr much because most of my hunting is in cold weather and I can't handle the 22lr rounds with gloves/mitts on, 410 is easier to handle hence I tend to use that part more often.

Awesome thanks for all the feedback. I was pretty well sold on the idea to begin with but I knew I would get some solid answers out here. I'll try some quiet 22lr bullets as well !!

Picked it today great little combo rifle. Everybody was over for Thanksgiving dinner and had a Crack at it. Family very impressed lol with the rifle I also grabbed 2 fifty packs of cci quiets, a box of #6 shot and a box of 5 slugs. The quiets are great ill never use shorts again don't need to. The #6 shot had a good pattern very happy with that and I still have to try the slugs yet. Can't wait to try it out on Grouse !!!
