Chiappa LA322 Bandit Boot Leg .22lr 12" Non-Restricted

Ya i would have to agree, its really a drastic change to the way they were
I think a lot of business are hit pretty hard by the Liberal economic downturn, not the least effected is the hunting and shooting industry - as they’ve been used as a punching bag by the big business of Offended Female Victims Inc (Poly-Libs).

You never know, they may have let some fulfillment staff go.

Tough times.

Getting parts from Cheeapass would be likely harder then making your own custom large loop lever.

I just hope North Sylva brings in some spare springs and ejectors etc and that the guns run reliably. Lot's of reports online about extraction/ejection issues in the last year or so and the guns have been on the market for close to 10 years. Plenty of time to iron out any kinks if they cared to.

Question for North Sylva,

Do you have spare parts on hand and what's the warranty coverage on these guns?

First time ordering through SFRC and I'm somewhat jaded about the experience. I got my order in on the 2nd day of the pre-order and was overall satisfied with the experience. 6 days later they did the preblack friday 14% off + Free ship sale and I contacted them regarding a potential charge back or even a store credit on the difference, being they technically don't even have them in their possession and able not even able to be shipped out.

I was somewhat off put when I got a flat out 'No' on both potential solutions. Other businesses in the past like Tenda and others have been very accommodating when it comes to similar situations in the past and we're more happy to oblige a solution.

However, I fully understand that business is business and every dollar counts.

I find it weird though that the listing for these rifles have been taken right off the website and just not listed as 'Out Of Stock'. My guess is a lot of people's orders got canceled when the sale went live because they didn't secure the numbers from Sylva and sold stock they didn't have.

Can't wait until these ship!
Cheers.

Interesting that you refer to your order as a "pre-order". I ordered from SFRC on the 7th, shortly after first seeing this thread, and in looking over the site I didn't see anything that indicated the gun was not in stock; option "add to cart" was active, so I did just that. When I inquired a week later about the unchanged "awaiting fulfillment" status of my order, the response I received again did not indicate anything about a pre-order, just that shipping was delayed due to high volumes of sales, etc.

I had specifically stated in my inquiry that I would not have ordered if I had known it was a pre-order.

As of now, my order is still "awaiting fulfillment"...as am I. I am not particularly impressed with the handling of this so far. I don't require instant gratification when I place an order, but some progress in the handling and processing and especially some update as to status should be expected. If there is...as I am beginning to believe...some intentional ambiguity in the wording of responses, I am even less impressed.

Does anyone have one of these in their hands yet?

Edited to add: Just noticed that NS posted on 5Nov, when they started this thread, that these guns would be shipping to dealers in 7-10 days, which indicates that when I placed my order on the 7th neither SFRC nor anyone else likely had any in hand. Again, looking over the SFRC site when I ordered did not mention this; they were happy to take my money for a pre-order without actually clarifying that it was a pre-order, or at least that they didn't have any inventory at the time. Shady, IMHO. :(

It's not like North Sylva has provided an update on their shipping estimate of Nov 13th-15th .... maybe they will chime in with some more relevant information about their new product offering?

I'm curious about spare parts and warranty info as well for the LA322's.

During the recent sale I separately ordered a different and that one is being processed so the assumptions that these weren’t actually in stock makes sense.

It is the only firearm I've ordered in a sometime and I received this...

Subject: Notice to Issue Transfer Reference Number for Non-Restricted Firearms

So I assume the sale is legit.

I was surprised that these didn't sell out quicker at SFRC. I tried adding 99 to my cart and it was accepted. I've personally never seen this with SFRC. I have had to wait no more than 3 business days for an order to ship, often the next day.

Ordered the day before the sale. I didn't call to ask anything as the sale notice can't be used for existing orders No shipping notice yet. I'll think twice before ordering from sfrc again. My previous orders were fine but this should have been listed as a preorder for sure.
I wonder if they'd cancel an unfulfilled order. These sort of games just seem slimy. Not something I'd do with my business.

I posted a link in SFRC's thread so they are up to speed on the conversation over here, not sure what the mixup is or was but historically they have been "good to go".

I just hope these little booty bandits run well and that there are parts available if needed.

SFRC will usually be happy to cancel an order but they'll charge you 2% if the payment was a credit card has been processed. The alternative is store credit with no loss.

I personally think SFRC is the most transparent retailer I've dealt and this just isn't the norm for them. Im hopping their reasoning comes to light...

and they were not truthful when i asked about my order, here is their answer on the 10th of Nov

Hi Bruce,
The order should be shipping shortly. It is shipping from our warehouse which is running a few days on shipments due to the volume in their queue.
They will email you tracking details when it goes out.

Bruce that looks like it should have read, "It is shipping from our distributors warehouse which is running a few days late on shipments...."

It is what it is at this point, I would guess people will start receiving orders in a week or so.

Not word for word but essentially the same answer I got.

I wonder which is faster...the "warehouse" yours is coming from or the "other warehouse" where mine is?

Do they seriously think that pulling this nonsense with a bunch of orders from a bunch of impatient guys who are in communication with one another is not going to be found out?

Can we stop crying about SFRC they literally have the best deals
One person's crying is another persons constructive criticism..... SFRC should have just called it a pre-order and given an eta instead of listing them as "In stock"
Pretending that "In stock" has always meant, in stock at the distributors warehouse and on order by the retailer awaiting future delivery is a bit strange.... seems closer to a pre-order then in stock, but what do I know, I'm just a customer.

Hey, atleast our credit card info hasn't been compromised...
