Chiappa Little Badger quality control

I just had to make an extra hour return trip to my gun store because the Chiappa Little Badger I bought had no extractor. Very frustrating to say the least especially because I had just arrived at the range to try it out when I discovered the defect.

Luckily the replacement they gave me is complete and so far functions just fine. I really like the gun but the initial shock has left a lingering sour aftertaste.

I mean really, how does something major like that make it past the door in the factory?
 
Always inspect before you buy if you can.
The Chiappa's are pretty good for what they cost. I put my stock in a padded vice(clamped it just behind the receiver) and bent it a bit lower which made the cheek weld more comfortable with the peep sight and also allowed the gun to fold into a smaller package. Win-win.
 
I've had a couple. The first one (after about 25 shots) decided it wanted to decide when the hammer drops. What I HAD thought was a nice, light trigger...was actually a very flawed, dangerous one. The dealer I bought it from replaced it with a new one, which I checked over...then sold without ever firing it.

I let my kids shoot my 22s (under my strict supervision) but after that after that, I wouldn't let them touch a Chiappa again. Neat/novelty gun in my opinion...worth the asking price if it functions perfectly...but not overly comfortable, and clearly some sketchy QC.
