Chiappa little badger

oh, one other thing
the Little Badger is reallllllllllllllllllly quiet!
i forgot my muffs and so i was shooting without and i didnt even notice the noise.
i was amazed!
my wife who shoots rarely commented on how quiet the gun was as well.
not sure why its so quiet but it sure was neat!

Picked one of these up recently. It seems well built. The sights are plastic but seem useable. A better sight picture than many lower end 22 rifles. Its really easy to break open and close, very little friction. The trigger pull is surprisingly light, really light. Put a red dot on it and it seems to be fairly accurate but I haven't shot it on paper. Did I mention how small it is.....its quite small with a short length of pull too. I think some would think too short. Nice to be able to switch from cb caps, shorts, and lr and nice to be able to easily check that the (cb cap) actually made it out of the barrel. No safety but has a half #### notch on the hammer.

Yep long barrel and not a semi auto. Really wish it wasn't a single shot.

mine seems to need to double impact on stingers but iam thinking they may have a thicker rim or something like that. but it shoots just fine with everything else.

I've asked Santa for one of these, but my wife told me Santa doesn't have his PAL. How would she know? :) Wish I didn't have the gun-fund tied-up in some other distractions right now, would be a fun rifle to tinker with over the Christmas holidays.

It is a fun little rifle. I haven't run stingers in mine but cci quiet, cci cb's, Winchester 22 short, Winchester dynapoint, and federal bulk all ran through fine with no FTF. I don't find it quiet, I find it pretty loud actually.....due to the short barrel length I suppose.
Also, if you remove the bottom rail on the foregrip, it closes up much smaller.
The bag it comes with is extremely cheap. If you put a reddot on the little badger, unless its a really really small one, it will not fit into the bag properly.

I finally got around to wrapping 50ft of paracord around the wire-frame stock. I did 2 runs over the stock to use up the 50ft, then half-ass braided the left-over into a sling. I also put some rail covers on the forend. I love this gun.

no idea in the handle but i put one from a cz 858 on mine and although it wont close up as small any more its even more comfortable to shoot .I also added a universal barrel mount picatiny rail infront of the current rail system so I have a better spot to grab as well.

I made this grip.

I made a grip for my little badger as soon as I got it. I used perma-plank (recycled plastic faux wood). This grip has great access to the hammer and works when the gun is folded and stored in the bag.

thats pretty cool and it should last a while lol. I may have to try something along these lines since the pistol grip wont allow it to fold nearly as much, although I was thinking of grooving out the midle of the grip to allow the barrent to through it.

i emailed Chiappa asking about the pistol grip and kit for these, got a reply in under 24hours.

here it is;
we're shipping out the first pieces in these days. We should have a shipment to Canada prior the end of the year. You should be able to find them on the market from January.
Thank you and kind regards.

I too would like to find one on Vancouver Island. Or mail order I guess. Cool stuff always seems to sell out before I know it is there. I have some cool stalk mod ideas I want to try.

I went to check out the Canadian Tire in Greenwood today and left with one, they've still got one left in stock, cant wait to get out and shoot er

I only wanted the Double Badger and I bought the Little Badger too only because I was given a deal on it at the same time. In fact I walked out wondering why I bought it. But the little gun has quickly become one of my favorites. I have some ideas for a grip and cargo compartment for the stock. The platform just lends itself to customising. Some good ideas shown already.

This will be my always there gun, something that will ride unobtrusively in a pack until it's needed.
