Chiappa Little Badgers -- First Shipment Has Landed

Local store employee told me one of their customers managed to accidentally discharge their new little badger while playing with it in their bedroom. Apparently he loaded a round and snapped it shut but didn't have the round all the way in. The rim got pinched and fired with the bullet going through both a dresser and wall before passing into the apartment next door. Fortunately no one got hurt.

Was looking at getting my 9 year old a little plinker to shoot cans when we go camping in the summer. I think this is a great idea!

And it's people like that that don't help out our cause. . . I love playing with my guns too, but I sure as hell don't load live rounds in them at home just to play around

+1 to that

In Israel we say that the safety regulations were written in blood. We all love our guns, but shouldn't play around with them loaded.
Thank god the guy didn't hit anyone, the story would have been tragic. Let's enjoy the holidays safely.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

I had mine go off when closing the action and nearly took out my quad tire...its not a matter of the rim getting pinched. there was a flaw with the little badgers, when opening the action after firing the hammer SHOULD go into half ####, it did not causing the hammer to move almost to half #### but then snapping back on the firing pin when closing the action on the live round. Chiappa sent a new trigger parts kit, (so they seem to know of this). Chiappa is awesome to deal with but should be a recall.

Ok... Ever wonder why you need to use a different cylinder in a ruger single six? That's because the case diameter is larger in the .22 WMR case.
Yes, you can fire a .22LR in a .22WMR chamber but you're running the risk of splitting cases. The bullet will come out the muzzle but it is not generally considered a safe practice.
Interestingly the inside diameter of the WMR case is the right size that a LR case will fit snugly inside. One can make adapters out of the WMR cases but it's far from ideal.

a .22 short will chamber in a .17 hmr gun. It doesn't mean it's safe to shoot.
