i like the chiappa .22lr converion kit. rather, i love it!
though it has its share of flaws..... mini mags run through it like butter. but i'm not made of money and the whole idea of the kit was to run "cheap" ammo.
i buy the federal bulk (blue box stuff) 525 pack. works pretty good in my "chiappa" and my gsg's. however, good is only 90-95 percent. i wanted to shoot for
100%. here's what i've done.
remove the "bolt carrier" and tear it down so the silver piece with the firing pin and extractor is out of the rails.
remove the firing pin. just press it in from the rear and tap out the retaining pin.
take one (1) coil off the firing pin return spring. polish the firing pin. set everything aside.

the silver part of the bolt carrier will likely have an "impression" on the rear. caused by the hammer hitting the carrier itself.
use this impression as a guide, remove a small ammount of material from this area. i started with a file, but stepped it up a bit with a dremel and some caution.
i removed .010-.020 approx. test fitting the firing pins' "exposure" on each end as i went.
next, and this can be done with the extractor in place, polish the bolt face a bit. there are some imperfections that easily come out.
i don't honestly know if this helped anything, but when in rome......
reassemble the bolt/carrier and set it aside.

polish the feed ramp. need i say more?

thats it. lube it up and have fun. look at the first few casings when you start using it. i compared the "before" strike marks, to the "after" ones. i'd almost say its doubled!
250-300 rounds through mine since i did this, not one failure!
so far...... it is a rimfire after all
