Hey guys

Looking for a regular synthetic stock Chiappa M1-9, not the NSR version

Anybody know if there’s any in stock anywhere in Canada??

Thanks

Are you sure you want one? Took mine to the range couple days ago. Front sight way to wide. Rear sight set at max elevation to hit centre of target at 50 metres. I was using 124 gr FMJ Blazer ammo. Rear sight was moving side to side when first put to the test. Locktited in place now. Thinking of massaging a usgi sight to fit. Also only mags that worked were the factory mags with the red followers. Other mags I had would not feed due to bullet presentation not being steep enough.
This is the second series without bolt hold open pin. I also have the first series and it has the same issues.
My magazines are marked 92-9mm Pistol. And they worked fine for me if loaded to only 9 rds.

I then tried my Ruger PC9, and it is well worth the extra money. Yes I bought two Chiappas for the price of one Ruger but to me well worth it for the Ruger PC9. But that was a year or so ago. When the PC9 was first put on the market.
But I must say putting the Chiappa M1-9 stock on a M1 carbine clone (universal first Gen) sure make a light rifle. :)

Yeah, I liked mine but sold it in a decision I regret.

I had the same model as you with no bolt hold open. I filed down the front sight post originally and painted the front blade black with a orange tip, but eventually removed the front and rear sights and mounted a vortex sparc to the rear sight dovetail. After about 100 rounds or so It ran perfectly with no ftf or fte.

I think the early models gained a bad reputation, but the one I had one worked great. Fist sized groups with western munition 124g reloaded ammunition at 100yd

I put a low powered scope on the first one and that solved all my sight issues:) with that one. May do the red dot on the second but have to come up with away to mount it as the receiver is not machined for that type of mount. Rifles have flat bases with no weaver or picatinny cross bolt groove. This piece of info is for the ones not knowing:)

Not sure if I want to invest the time playing with the sights anymore, when a scope or red dot will work better

I solved that issue with a cheap fix from Amazon

“UTG Dovetail to picatinny adapter”

https://www.amazon.ca/UTG-Dovetail-...vetail&qid=1622739691&sprefix=utg+dove&sr=8-2

It’s the small piece about the size of a scope base. It literally fits perfect on the rear sight rail and only adds about 3/16 height. Simply put your red dot on, tighten the cross bolts and it snugs up perfectly. Held zero for me through 500 rounds before I sold the rifle

These are OK. I had Gen 1 & the bolt broke. Fixed under warranty. Ran well though after break in. I have 2 Gen 2's...probably sell one. Overall they seem OK+. I like they are light & inexpensive comparatively. Def need some tinkering & break in, then usually work/run well.
