As I explained earlier, only the first 10 guns were at that price as I bought them 9 months ago at a lower price. The new ones cost me more.

On another note, having sitting in your cart does not secure something for you. You have to complete checkout to do that.

i understand it was not secured. However...Had you said the price would go up tomorrow or there was only so much stock at that price....i would have done it last night. explaining that after the fact was disapointing to say the least.

Why did you wait overnight? Ryan also mentioned the price change earlier. Either way I guess your SOL. I'm playing the wait n see game. Let's hear some pro's and con's first.

He did mention the price increase and I was torn between getting a much cheaper synthetic stock that was in stock or paying the extra for a wood one that is coming next week and I still went with the wood.

Chiappa has said its a straight drop in. Apparently the synthetic will take the oilee & the wood wont. Google it, some chatter on a few US forums & not much more.

From what I found on the internet, usgi/boyds stocks fit, oiler will fit if you sand the channel, metal barrel band / bayonet mount fit, trigger group fits on the 22lr version, dunno about this one.

Looks like a neat little carbine. Hope someone does a range report soon. Personally I like the fact it uses Beretta 92 mags. They're very easy to get and reasonably priced. The pistol mags do look slightly odd to me in an M1 Carbine. But I'd still like to get one of these.

9mm M1s were on the market at least 30 years ago. I've now seen one of these carbines. For the old price, a good deal. Over $500 not so much. It's maybe a tad better built than Keltec, IMHO. It's miles ahead of a Hi-Point but nowhere near the $1000 carbines. It's an M1 approximation. It's plastic where it can be (mag well, trigger guard, barrel band/bayonet lug) with sheet metal stampings too (front sight). This can be best described as a 9mm in M1 pattern than an M1 in 9mm. However, it's an important niche firearm and should prove popular.

Too bad these Chiappa carbines aren't in 7.62 Tokarev and took T33 mags. I would be ordering
before typin' this!:(

The Marlin Camp Carbine was "resricto" in our neck of the woods due to the 16" tube, so that
cut out a lot of sales. The horrible trigger pull didn't help either.

I think Chiappa will have much better luck if they leverage the modularity of this build and release multiple calibers and multiple magazine type capability.
