chiappa spencer QUESTIONS

the research on the chiappa repros is whats changing my mind, for the price it should function better than the storys of unthreading barrels and quality of manufacture isues.

i would say currently im 70/ 30 on the wait and think more side of the situation.

never a rush .
 
Well, I have a solution for you since quality control seems to be the issue .....

A US custom 'smith named Larry Romano makes fully functional repros of the Spencer and the Smith carbine. Very highly regarded by the NSSA. One will set you back $5000- $7000 USD if you can find one. He has very limited production.

ive alrready heard of mr romano thru the cascity site, he is the go -to smith for a made by him spencer. or for work on originals.

but waaaay out of my price range. if i win the lottery and if hes still in bussiness ill look him up .

i also heard of another custom spencer smith, thru cascity a mr hoyt in state of pennsylvania ? anyway lots to think about / no rush.
 
YES I cannot afford a 5000$us ( or more ) romano made rifle , wish i could .

could afford a chiappa , new or used, but the possible problems make me pause .
any-- way,

any one else with experiance good or bad on the chiappa spencers ?
