Chilliwack gun show?

Still on today.
There is an Abbotsford outdoor show today also.
Busy, lots of overpriced milsurps, reloading stuff, knives, bolt actions, shotguns and attachments for ARs, SKS, 10/22. Not much in black rifles and modern handguns. The Canadian Firearms Program was onhand yesterday to process ATTs for immediate transfers of restricteds also. Not sure if they will be there today. Probably a peace offering for the debacle last week!

some good deals. My friend picked up a DCRA lee enfield all matching and in good shape for $550. I just missed a lee metford cavalry carbine complete with the D ring and it looked all matching and original. It went for $400. I was hoping the guy just in front of me would put it down so I could grab it, but it was not to be. I got a good deal on a RT524 radio for my Iltis. So there were deals out there

I picked up the Lee Metford cavalry carbine and will have photos of it up shortly for the experts. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. Luckily it was hidden on the back side of the rack facing the crowds. A collector grade 1941 Portuguese contract K98 at the table just to the right diverted a lot of attention I'm guessing. That one was $1,250 with a correct but non matching bayo and worth every penny. Wish I could have bought both. The Lee Metford was $450 actually (read bashful) and is indeed numbers matching ;)

I spent a few hours there on Saturday. Had a lot of fun. Mostly chatting with vendors and collectors I know. There was a lot there but not a whole lot peeked my interest enough to spend money on. I did pick up a Snider Enfield carbine. It was an Egyptian Police smooth bore. It is in very rough shape and missing the firing pin assm. But it will be fun to mess with. I was looking for parts mostly but couldn't find most of what i was looking for.
