a very well attended event on Sunday, despite the heat and smoke over 30 shooters participated in the event. CGN was well represented, with at least 8-10 members involved, 5 in our squad alone! My wife shot her first IDPA, and although she was nervous at the start, the CGN boys made her feel right at home and she shot very well for her first time thanks to the help of the many experienced shooters we were fortunate to shoot with!
CGN'er Trailskinpat and I shot our second match, and I believe we both saw improvement, and we both shot our first clean round!!
I would like to thank fellow CGN'ers Still alive, Smelly Pete for the help they provided my wife, and a big shout out to Caje for a great job as SO, you kept our squad on track and focused on safety and the task at hand, and also for taking the time to make the wife much more confident in her runs!!
I also can't say thanks enough to Robpad for the unbelievable amount of work he puts in to make this happen ( also Nick, don't know if he is on here?) , and it was great to see Ironman0731 come out with his lady to check it out, hope to see you next shoot bud!!
After reading many of his posts, and taking his advice ,it was nice to finally meet BCRider also, had a very nice convo at lunch and look forward to meeting again.
All in all, it was a great time, and if you are thinking of giving it a go, get out to Chilliwack, some of the best, friendliest people I have ever met, and a credit to the shooting community!
If any attendees have any pics, please post them here, I have quite a few vids, but being technologically retarded can't get them to upload lol
